I know its a hard concept to grasp, but being drunk is very, very, very, very fun. Well sometimes, there's a certain feeling when you wake up the night after not knowing what you did the night before.

Well said evers, you must understand michael, alcohol gives alot of joy and lets you forget your problems , which is hard to do these days, as long as you don't let alcohol become a problem in itself, infact alcohol's been proven to be healthy for you and adds several years onto your life if you don't drink too much, smoking on the other hand I don't understand.

Well accually that's not true lol, don't know where you got that from , it is true though that your more likely to get liver damage from large ammounts of alcohol when younger though, but I have no problem with drinking of alcohol as long as it's a small ammount when young, and not too much when old either. As for smoking, it's simply a stupid thing to do, like most drugs.
As for the votes, well I feel that most people use drugs (alcohol and smoking included) for a multitude of reasons; stress today is just too much at school, gets worse every few years, and although I wouldn't smoke or drink too much, I can understand why people would want something to forget the trouble, also it is popular among certain sub-cultures who may peer-pressure people, also don't forget the addiction factor, alot of people may be drunk at some party, and not thinking have a cigarette or illegal drug when offered, and not be able to stop having more. Frankly I think it's too complicated an issue to answer with a few words, if you put up stress on the list I'd vote for that one as I consider it to be the biggest of the multitude of reasons.

Re: Seems big proplem at teen ages
I heard about it on television in one document, which was a British young people with learning ability was tested in a young person who has been drinking life of less than 18 years old and the young alcoholic who has not drunk alcohol. Research showed that young people who had drunk alcohol before did not know certain things that young people who had not drunk alcohol, both young people did the same experiment.

I'm pretty sure drinking booze before adulthood slows mental developement, hence why the alcoholics did worse in the experoment than the sobers.

I know what you mean Vice, people always say to me that the stuff their doing is really really hard, and then I look at what my brother is doing (who is in 6th form (which is basically a British version of American collage)) and it's the hardest question we have as the easiest ones.
Michael, who are these "young people"?
You don't drink, your young, don't stereotype. I only drink in very small ammounts on occassions.
